The Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre  has produced Activity Resources Special Edition 1 - Skits as a separate resource aimed at lower primary to upper primary / lower secondary students. This is available under the Centre's donation program and can be obtained in the same way as our other donation items.

This skit collection contains four stories, one original story and three well known childrens' stories which can be easily understood by an audience with or without knowledge of Japanese. It is hoped that the skits can be used by students not only in the classroom but also as a presentation for a school event. These skits are designed and written by the advisory lecturers at the Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre.

As well as the skits, each section includes a brief outline of the story, the cast, required vocabulary and expressions, and pictures of the face of each character. These can be made into finger puppets or enlarged to make masks or 'hats' for use in the performance of the skits.

The Japan Foundation Sydney Language Centre hopes that regular issues of these resources will give teachers a greater choice of activities for their students and thereby help to make their classes interesting.
